NLPA Camels — Built to Endure
OUR STORY 2000

"This program was built because my sons were pushed out of public school by adults who were supposed to have their best interest at heart. They are the first graduates, and they opened doors for hundreds to follow."

New Life Preparatory Academy was born not from a business plan, but from a father's pain and a pastor's purpose. Dr. Alex L. Jenkins Sr. was born in Ft. Pierce and raised in Cocoa, Florida. When his sons were pushed out of the public school system, he opened a door himself.

For 25 years, NLPA quietly served hundreds of students through word of mouth alone. In 2026, that chapter gave way to a new one: a formal board, a curriculum built on the Florida State Standards with a Christian foundation, and a commitment to accreditation.

The door is still open. It always will be.
