Is NLPA accredited?

NLPA is registered with the Florida Department of Education as a private school (ID: 06-1840) and is actively pursuing full accreditation through the Florida Coalition of Christian Private Schools Accreditation (FCCPSA). Our 3 to 5 year accreditation roadmap is underway. NLPA has been serving students since 2000.

Will my NLPA diploma be accepted by employers and colleges?

NLPA is a Florida private school registered with the Florida DOE and issues high school diplomas. Our graduates have gone on to community colleges, universities, careers, and ministry service. Because NLPA is still pursuing accreditation, we encourage you to confirm acceptance with any college or employer you have in mind.

Can I transfer my credits from my previous school?

Yes. NLPA accepts credits from any accredited public or private high school. We evaluate your transcript and give you credit for what you have already earned. Students in the Adult Diploma Completion Program need at least 18 earned credits and then complete 6 credits at NLPA.

What if I do not have a transcript?

NLPA verifies prior credits from official transcripts. If you do not have yours, contact the Executive Director and we will help you request your records from your previous school.

How long does it take to complete the Adult Diploma Program?

Most students with significant prior credits complete the program in 3 to 6 months. Students who need more coursework may take 8 to 14 months. The maximum program duration is 24 months from enrollment.

What age do I need to be to enroll?

The Adult Diploma Completion Program is open to students ages 16 and older. Students ages 16 to 17 must have written Parental or Legal Guardian Consent and provide proof of formal withdrawal from their previous school.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. NLPA offers a standard 50/50 payment plan, 50% at enrollment and 50% before diploma issuance. Extended monthly payment plans are also available. Students with genuine financial hardship may contact the Executive Director directly to discuss options including internal scholarship consideration.

Does NLPA participate in Florida scholarship programs?

Yes. NLPA participates in the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC), Family Empowerment Scholarships (FES EO and FES UA), Hope Scholarship, and Opportunity Scholarship. Many qualifying families pay zero out of pocket for academic tuition. Contact us and we will help you determine your eligibility.

What curriculum does NLPA use?

Core courses follow the Florida State Standards and are organized into a 24 credit pathway. Students in the credit based programs also complete Old Testament Survey and New Testament Survey, taught from the King James Version, and may choose electives such as studies in individual Books of the Bible.

Is NLPA a Christian school?

Yes. NLPA is a Christ centered institution. Our religious orientation is Apostolic Oneness Pentecostal. All students complete mandatory Biblical Studies courses. Our programs, curriculum, and community standards are rooted in Christian faith and values.

Does NLPA have an athletic program?

NLPA's athletic program, The NLPA Camels, is currently in development with a planned launch for the 2027 to 2028 academic year. Planned sports include American Tackle Football (with a unique 13th Year Postgraduate Prep Program), 7 on 7 Flag Football, Basketball, Soccer, and Track & Field. Academic enrollment at NLPA is required for all student athletes.

What is the 13th Year Postgraduate Program?

The 13th Year Program is designed for student athletes who have completed their standard high school eligibility but need one additional year of academic and athletic development before college. Students remain enrolled academically at NLPA, continue athletic training, and work on college recruiting. Age eligibility extends to 19 years old.

Where is NLPA located?

NLPA's principal office is located at 131 NE 9th Street, Pompano Beach, Florida 33060. Our hybrid delivery model means much of your coursework is completed online at your own pace, with in person support available.

How is NLPA different from a GED program?

NLPA issues an official NLPA high school diploma, not a GED equivalency certificate. In our Adult Diploma Completion Program you complete real coursework to mastery with biblical foundation and individualized support. In our Adult Test Out Diploma Program you complete five proctored assessments aligned to the Florida State Standards. Both lead to an official NLPA diploma and academic transcript.
